NEW YORK (6/25/15)--The deadline to submit applications for the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions’ Cooperative Finance Leaders for America (CFLA) program is today. CFLA is a six-month paid fellowship that helps credit union professionals hone their passion for cooperative finance. TYLER, Texas (6/25/15)--Cooperative Teachers CU will perform random acts of kindness in the Tyler, Texas, area over the next two months (KYTX-19 June 23). Earlier this week, the credit union gave out free gas at Cefco station. “It’s just our way to give back to the community and be involved with the people we live with, work with and worship with,” said Tim Miller, Cooperative Teachers president/CEO. REDLANDS, Calif. (6/25/15)--Alta Vista CU, Redlands, Calif., has named RaAnn Wood its new president/CEO (Redland Daily Facts June 23). Wood previously served as the California deputy commissioner of the Office of Credit Unions at the Department of Business Oversight. She also served as president/CEO of California Center CU, which merged with the Credit Union of Southern California, Anaheim. Wood additionally worked with the California Credit Union League as its professional networks manager in the education and training department, following six years working in the league’s research and information department …
