WASHINGTON (7/31/15)--Among the bills passed by the U.S. House Financial Services Committee Wednesday was the Equity in Government Compensation Act of 2015 (H.R. 2243). The bill, introduced by Rep. Ed Royce (R-Calif.), caps the pay of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac CEOs at $600,000. Fannie CEO Timothy Mayopoulos and Freddie CEO Donald Layton will earn roughly $4 million in 2014, according to disclosures.
