Foundation announces Wegner Award winners
MADISON, Wis. (10/6/15)--Three credit union and league individuals and a financial education program from America’s Credit Union Museum are the recipients of the National Credit Union Foundation’s 2016 Herb Wegner Memorial Awards, the highest honors in the credit union movement.
Recipients for outstanding individual achievement and outstanding program are:
Daniel F. Egan, retired president/CEO of the Massachusetts Credit Union League, New Hampshire Credit Union League and the Credit Union Association of Rhode Island (now known as the Cooperative Credit Union Association;
C. Alan Peppers, former president/CEO of Westerra CU, Denver;
William J. Bynum, CEO of Hope CU, Jackson, Miss.; and
- CU 4 Reality, America’s Credit Union Museum’s financial education training program involving students, educators, parents, credit unions and businesses.
They will be presented their awards at a special dinner hosted by the foundation at the Marriott Marquis on Feb. 22. The event is held in conjunction with CUNA’s Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC), which meets Feb. 21-25 in Washington, D.C. Tickets will be available on the foundation website within the next month.
