8 CUs notch CUNA OpSS Council excellence awards

MADISON, Wis. (10/9/15)--The CUNA Operations, Sales & Service (OpSS) Council announced the winners of its excellence awards last month during its annual conference in Orlando, Fla.

Eight credit unions took home the prize at the 18th annual event. The awards recognize credit unions for innovative solutions that optimize credit union performance.

The winners were:

  • Pioneer FCU, Mountain Home, Idaho, for its “Moving the Branch Experience Forward” entry in the branch design category;
  • Numerica CU, Spokane Valley, Wash., for its “Breaking Down Barriers: Numerica CU Branch Redesign” entry in the branch design category;
  • Oregon Community CU, Springfield, Ore., for its “OCCU: Member Contact Center Excellence” entry in the contact center/e-support operations category;
  • LGE Community CU, Marietta, Ga., for its “A Smarter Way to Bank” entry in the miscellaneous category;
  • Southwest Financial FCU, Dallas, for its “How We Have Grown Loans 50% Over the Past Three Years” entry in the sales and service management category;
  • Mill City CU, Minnetonka, Minn., for its “IMPRESS!ve Sales and Service Program” entry in the sales and service management category;
  • Red Canoe CU, Longview, Wash., for its “Game of Phones/Monopoly: Red Canoe Financial Group Edition” entry in the sales and service management category; and
  • University of Michigan CU, Ann Arbor, Mich., for its “Engagement in Sales--#OperationHoustonDiscover” entry, which won best in show.
