NCUA, fed. agencies offer flood insurance webinar Oct. 22

WASHINGTON (10/13/15)--Federal regulators, including the National Credit Union Administration, will conduct a webinar on flood insurance regulations Oct. 22. Some changes to the regulations took effect Oct. 1, and others will be effective Jan. 1.

NCUA staff will join representatives from the Federal Reserve board of governors, Farm Credit Administration, Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to discuss regulatory updates to flood insurance regulations.

Other topics that will be covered include: escrow of flood insurance premiums and fees; force-placed flood insurance; and a detached structures exemption.

The one-hour webinar is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. (ET). Registration is currently open, and the webinar will be archived online.
