(12/2/15)--Friday is the deadline for submissions for the Filene Research Institute’s latest incubator project, “Reaching Minority Households.”The program aims to find viable, scalable solutions for the roughly 50% of minority American households who are un- or underbanked. Five products or programs will be selected for pilot testing. Submissions may include deposit, loan or payments products, financial literacy, marketing and staff training. SACRAMENTO, Calif. (12/2/15)--Jim Jordan, president/CEO of Schools Financial CU, will retire Dec. 31 after 24 years at the Sacramento, Calif.-based credit union, according to a press release. During his nearly 40 years in the credit union industry, he also served on the boards of the California Credit Union League, CU Direct Lending and WesCorp. SAN ANTONIO (12/2/15)--Firstmark CU and St. Joseph’s CU, both of San Antonio, have finalized their merger, which will be completed by Jan. 31. Firstmark, the surviving credit union, does not anticipate any staffing changes, according to its press release. New signs are already replacing those at St. Joseph's locations in San Antonio and Fredericksburg.
