MADISON, Wis. (12/21/15)--As the year comes to a close, a number of credit unions will be seeing the New Year in with new leaders. At Wolf Point (Mont.) CU Montana, Shelly Stovern will succeed CEO Lester Warby (President’s Report Dec. 18). Stovern has been with the credit union for more than 15 years, most recently as executive vice president. Warby, in turn, succeeds Marney Kresel as CEO of University FCU, Grand Forks, N.D. The board of Freedom CU, Springfield, Mass., elected Glenn Welch as president/CEO, according to Daily CU Scan (Dec. 18). Welch will succeed Barry Crosby, a 12-year veteran of the credit union. ALBANY, N.Y. (12/21/15)--Roland Faucher Sr., longtime board chair of Hudson River Financial FCU, died Dec. 14. He was 87. Faucher had served as president and chair of the Mohegan Lake, N.Y., credit union for more than 50 years, the New York Credit Union Association reported (The Point Dec. 18). KEARNEY, Neb. (12/21/15)--Kearney (Neb.) FCU introduced its new name--Trius FCU--earlier this month.
