CU Solutions Group shares 'Love' with Dec. winners

LIVONIA, Mich. (1/6/16)--CU Solutions Group announced the December winners of its Share the Love campaign. Share the Love awards credit unions that submit videos of their generous efforts to give back to their communities.

In addition to its three monthly awardees that won $10,000 each for a favored charity, the campaign named the year's grand prize winner, which scored an additional $15,000 to go toward its good work.

The December "Love" winners are:

  • In the large asset category: Indiana Members Credit Union, Indianapolis, for Indiana Members Foundation, organized exclusively for the purpose of being a positive influence in the community served by Indiana Members CU; specifically providing school children in the Indianapolis area with the necessities essential for learning and succeeding in their education;
  • In the medium asset category: Northeast Community CU, Johnson City, Tenn., for Assistance Resource Ministries, which provides services such as food and clothing pantries and human and financial resources; and,
  • In the small asset category: Penobscot (Me.) County FCU, for Maine Credit Union’s Campaign for Ending Hunger

The 2015 grand prize winner is United Bay Community CU. The Bay City, Mich. credit union also won a $10,000 prize in October, bringing a $25,000 total donation to its charity, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Ann Arbor.

Share the Love is a joint campaign by CU Solutions Group, its member rewards program--Love My Credit Union Reward--and the Credit Union National Association.

There were more than 30 video submissions and more than 426,000 votes during 2015, the campaigns inaugural year.

“The credit union mission isn’t a goal with an end. It’s a daily choice to help community spirit flourish, donate time and resources, and take care of each other," said Dave Adams, CEO of CU Solutions Group. The team behind Share the Love is already developing ideas to go bigger and better in 2016.
