CUNA GAC: ‘Powerful, motivational tool,’ says Nussle
WASHINGTON (1/22/16)--The 2016 Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) is an exceptional and crucial advocacy opportunity for credit unions, said CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle in a new video.
“It’s the rare opportunity to meet face to face with policymakers and their staff, and to advocate for the credit union difference and for the people and communities that we represent all across the nation,” Nussle said of the premier credit union conference of the year, set for Feb. 21-25 in Washington.
“As a former eight-term congressman, I can tell you--it’s a powerful motivational tool as well.”
Headlining the general sessions are award-winning broadcast journalist Ted Koppel and innovation expert and futurist Lisa Bodell, with best-selling author Daniel Pink at the CUNA Councils-sponsored ED (Filene) Talk.
Policymakers--including members of the Senate Banking Committee and House Financial Services Committee--are already lined up to speak to the anticipated crowd of 5,000 attendees.
