CFPB pushes back access-to-checking field hearing

January 27, 2016

WASHINGTON (1/27/16)--A Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) field hearing originally scheduled for today to discuss access to checking accounts has been pushed back to Feb. 3.

The delay is due to the historic blizzard that walloped the East Coast this past weekend.

CFPB Director Richard Cordray is scheduled to address the Louisville, Ky., event, which will be streamed live. Consumer groups, industry representatives and members of the public will also present their views.
