CU finance focus of 4 CUNA ed. events in Aug.
MADISON, Wis., and WASHINGTON (4/5/16)--The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) will hold four educational events dedicated to credit union finance in August.
CUNA Investment Certification Schools and CUNA Economics & Investments Conference will be Aug. 5-10 in Chicago, while CUNA Financial Management School and CUNA Credit Union Finance for Volunteers School will be Aug. 14-18 in Washington, D.C.
“Strong financial knowledge is important for credit union professionals in any role,” said James Carrick, CUNA vice president of learning events. “These events help attendees acquire a complete, up-to-date and actionable understanding of finance.”
The schools and conferences are tailored to finance professionals, senior management, C-suite executives and board members:
CUNA Investment Certification School includes fundamentals of investment management and advanced investment strategies. Attendees can earn the Certified Credit Union Investments Professional designation;
CUNA Economics & Investments Conference, endorsed by the CUNA CFO Council, offers sessions from CUNA’s top economic experts, up-to-date content based on current economic conditions and actionable financial insights;
CUNA Financial Management School is an experiential program that teaches attendees the decision-making process of financial management through an in-depth asset-liability management simulation; and
- CUNA Credit Union Finance for Volunteers School includes in-depth analysis; financial statements and ratios; capital management; impact of rates, risk and returns; and the opportunity to earn the CUNA Board Financial Literacy Certificate.
