Fin. ed. benefits from fashion-filled Financial Fitness Day
MADISON, Wis. (4/7/16)--The clothes may have been casual, but Wednesday was all business when it came to supporting financial education during Financial Fitness Day.
The National Credit Union Foundation invited credit union organizations to hold a Financial Fitness Day fundraiser to help kick off National Financial Literacy Month and National Credit Union Youth Month.
Participants paid a small amount to wear jeans or casual clothes, with the donations being split 50/50 between the Foundation and the state credit union foundation in which the donation was made.
The Foundation also held a photo contest for people posting photos on Twitter with the #FinancialFitnessDay hashtag. For a glimpse into the credit union fashion world, click on the slideshow below.
