Adapt recruiting to draw top talent: HROD Council

April 12, 2016

ORLANDO, Fla. (4/12/16)--One of the first pieces of advice offered at the start of the CUNA HR & Organizational Development Council Conference was the use of new techniques to attract top talent.

During a preconference workshop in Orlando, Fla., Richard Finnegan advised attendees to adopt social media, encourage referrals, craft a value proposition and hire employees who stay.

The CEO of C-Suite Analytics said credit unions must reshape their recruitment tactics to find the best talent.

Once those are employees are on board, employers should conduct “stay interviews”--structured conversations that provide supervisors with insight into what their employees like and don’t like about their jobs.

Nearly 200 human resource professionals are attending the conference, which included a first-time attendee session and welcome reception with industry vendors.
