Advocacy Update examines compensation, fiduciary updates

April 26, 2016

CUNA Chief Advocacy Officer Ryan Donovan covers a number of topics in this week’s Advocacy Update video, including the Financial Accounting Standards Board’s Wednesday meeting on its current expected credit loss proposal. While there are no hearings on Capitol Hill this week that directly affect credit unions, CUNA will be monitoring several, Donovan explains.

In the video below, Donovan also gives an update on CUNA’s attendance at a meeting on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac’s “duty to serve,” the House resolution to block the Department of Labor’s fiduciary rule, the NCUA’s proposed compensation rule, a look at next week’s Consumer Financial Protection Bureau field hearing on arbitration and more.
