FOCUS Brands, Inc. Group President Kat Cole to keynote 2017 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference opening session

MADISON, Wis., and WASHINGTON (November 9, 2016) – FOCUS Brands Inc. Group President, Kat Cole will give the keynote address at the opening session of CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference on February 27, 2017 in Washington, D.C.
“Kat is a transformational figure who has helped brands and organizations define their identities, stimulate growth and better connect with customers,” said CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle. “CUNA GAC attendees with a desire to improve their credit unions’ brands will gain a wealth of informed insights on the complexities involved in shaping consumer perceptions.”
Cole’s inspiring business career began as a Hooters hostess at age 17. She rapidly worked her way up the corporate ladder and became vice president at age 26. In 2010, she left to become president of Cinnabon, where she and her team led the company to some of its highest growth, profitability and franchisee satisfaction. In 2015, Cole was promoted to become group president of FOCUS Brands Inc., Cinnabon’s parent company.
Beyond her impressive record of professional advancement and accomplishment, Cole is also renowned for her work connecting entrepreneurship to humanitarian impact. She is a Young Global Leader (YGL) of the World Economic Forum and one of eight leaders on the United Nations Global Entrepreneurs Council, a strategic advisory council designed to bring together successful, high-profile, entrepreneurs and thought leaders who are committed to finding innovative solutions to global problems.
In her presentation “Building Highly Successful and Resilient Brands,” Cole will delve into her experience in brand development and culture, recalling important lessons and providing valuable strategies on how credit unions can strengthen their brand and connect with their communities.
CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference is the largest credit union advocacy event, drawing more than 5,000 attendees to remind lawmakers that credit unions make a difference in the lives of more than 100 million Americans. Attendees meet with representatives directly during Hill Hikes and take part in informative sessions, networking and touring the largest exhibit hall in the financial services industry.
