Madison, Wis. (April 8, 2015) – Alan Mulally, former CEO of Ford Motor Company; New York University professor of innovation, Luke Williams; and international strategist and leadership expert, Navi Radjou will speak at Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and the World Council of Credit Unions co-hosted America's Credit Union Conference and the World Credit Union Conference, July 12-15, 2015 in Denver, CO.
“We are delighted to announce Alan Mulally, Luke Williams and Navi Radjou as the keynote speakers for our co-hosted event this July,” said Jim Nussle, president/CEO of CUNA. “Their progressive, visionary and practical ideas will resonate with credit unions from around the world.”
“All three conference speakers use innovation and creativity to make significant contributions to their fields,” said Brian Branch, president/CEO of the World Council of Credit Unions. “Credit unions will have the opportunity to take the innovation strategies from these speakers back to their credit unions to help increase success and growth.”
Mulally is the former CEO of Ford Motor Company. During his time at Ford, the company became one of the top car brands worldwide and was the only major American auto manufacturer to avoid the government’s industry bailout. Mulally currently serves on the Google board of directors to assist with the development of driverless cars.
Through his address, attendees will learn how Mulally’s innovative leadership drove Ford to sustained success and how to translate his ideas into growth strategies for credit unions.
Williams, professor of innovation and executive director of the Berkley Entrepreneurship Center at the NYU Stern School of Business, specializes in entrepreneurship, cultural change and disruptive innovation. In addition to his work at NYU, Williams helps organizations create innovative products and processes as a fellow at Frog Design and he authored the best-selling book Disrupt: Think the Unthinkable to Spark Transformation in Your Business.
Williams will show attendees how to develop disruptive strategies and implement unexpected solutions. Conference attendees will leave Williams’s lecture motivated to transform their behavior, their institution and the entire credit union movement.
Radjou, an Indian-born French national, is a fellow at Cambridge Judge Business School and the executive director of the school’s Centre for India & Global Business. Radjou is also a columnist for the Harvard Business Review, a World Economic Forum Council member and founder of three successful businesses, including futurethink, an award-winning innovation firm.
In his book, Frugal Innovation: How To Do More With Less, Radjou discusses how businesses with limited resources, like credit unions, can use innovation to provide their members with high value products and services without added costs. His presentation will expand upon his idea of “frugal innovation” and empower credit union employees to find creative solutions for their constrained budgets.
