CUNA Frontline Compliance webinar series kicks off in April

The CUNA Frontline Compliance Webinar Series will assist credit union frontline staff in understanding their role in compliance.

From April 11 to Sept. 19, credit union frontline staff can attend monthly webinar sessions that explore the most critical security issues affecting their day-to-day responsibilities.

“Frontline staff are the first line of defense when protecting members and their information and protecting their credit union from fraud,” said Starla Bremel, CUNA instructional design manager. “With new technology and processes comes new threats to security. This webinar series is designed to help frontline staff stay up-to-date and compliant in their daily functions.”

Sessions include:

  • Bank Secrecy Act basics;
  • Best practices for member complaints;
  • Identifying member abuse;
  • Spotting human trafficking
  • Keeping member information safe; and
  • Preparing for the pre-paid rule.

The webinar series provides new or experienced frontline with information on fundamental compliance guidance, requirements and risks.
