CFPB extends CUAC application deadline to April 30

April 24, 2018

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has extended the deadline to apply for its Credit Union Advisory Council (CUAC) through April 30. The CUAC advises the bureau on the credit union industry.

Selections are expected to be announced in September. Members of the CUAC serve two-year terms, though that may be adjusted at the CPPB director sees fit.

CUNA strongly supports the existence of the CUAC, and has supported legislation that would codify the council, and has made retaining the council part of its 2018 advocacy agenda.
