CUNA offers loan originator training opportunities
To assist credit union professionals in their required periodic training on mortgage lending and loan origination, CUNA has announced various training opportunities in 2018.
“There has arguably been no area of regulatory compliance with more changes than mortgage lending,” said Melisa Kallestad, CUNA director of compliance education. “To help loan originators keep up with the latest developments and satisfy their Regulation Z periodic training requirement, we are happy to offer regional face-to-face offerings courses to make things more convenient for credit union professionals nationwide.”
The CUNA Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) Workshop is beneficial for mortgage loan originators, mortgage loan officers, and credit union professionals who want in-depth credit union specific MLO training.
CUNA MLO workshops will be held:
- Aug. 14 in San Diego; and
- Nov. 28 in Columbus, Ohio.
The CUNA Loan Originator (LO) Workshop is beneficial for consumer lenders and credit union professionals in operations and member service.
The CUNA LO workshop will be held Nov. 29 in Columbus, Ohio.
With these face-to-face options, credit union professionals can learn and gain valuable insight into fair lending fundamentals, mortgage lending regulations, loan product advertising and loan originator qualification and training requirements.
