Roby wins Ala. runoff

July 18, 2018
U.S. Rep. Martha Roby (R-Ala.) won Alabama's Republican runoff on Tuesday, defeating former Democratic congressman Bobby Bright.

In June 5 primary voting, Roby led all candidates with 39% of the vote in the Republican primary, but failed to get 50% of the vote, necessitating a runoff.

On Tuesday, Roby defeated Bright with more than 60% of the vote. She’ll face Democrat Tabitha Isner in November.

Roby is strongly supported by the League of Southeastern Credit Unions and the Credit Union Legislative Action Council.
