CUNA engaged w/ gov’t funding talks, fintech hearing this week
CUNA is engaged with continuing government funding discussions and a Senate hearing on fin tech this week. The House is in recess until Sept. 25.
The Senate may consider the conference report to the Defense, Labor-Health and Human Services-Education Appropriations Act for fiscal year 2019 (H.R. 6157). The bill includes a continuing resolution for all government functions to Dec. 7 for any government agencies funded by appropriations bills not enacted into law before Sept. 30.
Federal government funding is currently scheduled to expire Sept. 30, the end of fiscal year 2018.
The Senate Banking Committee will conduct a hearing Tuesday, scheduled for 10 a.m. (ET), titled “Fintech: Examining Digitization, Data and Technology.” The hearing will be streamed live on the committee’s website.
