Nussle urges credit unions to vote in today’s mid-terms
CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle urged all credit union stakeholders to exercise their right to vote Tuesday in the 2018 mid-term elections. Nussle will join CUNA leaders for a post-election webinar Thursday, and registration is currently open for the free webinar.
“Credit union leaders and members make their voices heard throughout the year when it comes to credit union priorities, and Tuesday’s election is another important opportunity to make your voice heard,” said CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle. “Voters can take advantage of CUNA’s CreditUnionsVote.com website to ensure they have up-to-date information about their polling location. We look forward to seeing a credit union-friendly majority elected on Tuesday.”
CUNA and its PAC, the Credit Union Legislative Action Council, are supporting 388 candidates for the House and Senate this year. A list of candidates supported by credit unions can be found on CUNA’s website highlighting the candidates by state.
CreditUnionsVote.com is part of CUNA’s "Credit Unions Vote" Member Activation Program campaign designed to encourage credit union members to help elect a credit union friendly majority in the 116th Congress. Many credit unions used the campaign to engage with members and fulfill social responsibilities in their communities.
Registration is open for CUNA’s post-election webinar, where CUNA leadership will discuss the election results, what it means for credit unions and review CUNA’s post-election white paper. The webinar is scheduled for Nov. 8 at 3:30 (ET).
