CUNA recognizes 97 CU professionals with marketing and business development designations

MADISON, Wis., and WASHINGTON (November 8, 2018) – At the 2018 CUNA Marketing and Business Development Certification Schools, 31 credit union professionals earning the Credit Union Certified Marketing Executive (CUCME) designation and 66 earning the Credit Union Business Development Professional (CUBDP) designation.

“I am often asked what my ‘secret’ is when it comes to our success in marketing at our credit union and my response is attending this school,” said Chelsea Oliver, marketing specialist at Corry FCU. “I love the sessions, networking, travel experience and the speakers. Each school offers its own designation, signifying the different skills and focus required to earn them.

The Credit Union Certified Marketing Executive (CUCME) designation distinguishes marketing professionals with a depth of understanding in topics such as:

  • Strategic marketing
  • Building a relevant brand experience
  • Market research

The Credit Union Business Development Professional (CUBDP) designation can be earned by professionals who demonstrate their mastery of concepts such as:

  • Engaging internal stakeholders
  • Business development strategy
  • Determining target markets
