Mission E.A.R.S. embraces Epcot leadership lessons
Experiential session generates leadership, service insights.
More than 300 America’s Credit Union Conference attendees braved the rain to participate in an experiential learning session Wednesday at Epcot following a leadership presentation at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida.
Mission E.A.R.S.—Experience, Adapt, Renew, Sustain—challenged participants to accomplish several tasks in the theme park, such as observing park staff at work and seeking ideas to bring back to their credit unions.
Before the event, a Disney Institute speaker addressed leadership and quality service.
“Great leaders proactively establish values,” says Mark Matheis, senior facilitator for the Disney Institute. “If you don’t make your values clear, employees will default to their own values.”
