MADISON, Wis., and WASHINGTON (September 20, 2019) – Credit Union National Association (CUNA) has announced three new associate business members, bringing the total of non-credit union members now to 25 since the launch of this new membership offering December 2017. These business advocates join in CUNA’s advocacy efforts to support, protect, unify and advance the credit union movement.

Newly announced choice level members include:

  • CUProdigy- Helps credit unions put member experience first with a modern, versatile core processing platform.

Newly announced associate level members include:

  • Business Lending Group LLC- Provides high-quality business lending services like policy creation, diligent servicing, ongoing loan administration and more for credit unions.
  • van Wagenen Financial Services- Offers products and services to credit unions designed to maximize profits and minimize risk.

The CUNA Associate Business Membership program allows organizations to become an official business advocate working on behalf of credit unions. Each Associate Business Member receives special offerings including: representation for credit union issues, annual registrations to CUNA events at member price, complimentary digital subscriptions to Credit Union Magazine, member pricing on CUNA research, and preferred pricing on Credit Union Magazine advertising and exhibit hall space at CUNA signature events.

"I'm pleased that CUNA initiated the ABM program, wrapping in the CUSO network, which is a critical piece of the industry and its sustainability,” said Bret Weekes, CEO of CUProdigy. “There are now many critical services provided to credit unions through CUSO organizations and I'm pleased that voice is being heard and advocated for at CUNA.  I believe that the cooperative business design of the CUSO provides the highest opportunity of return to the credit union and its member owners and I look forward to advocating for that model with CUNA as a partner.  Prodigy is absolutely committed to driving value back to the member owner through services and advocacy."

An associate business membership allows credit union service providers the opportunity to:

  • Build mutually beneficial relationships with CUNA and credit unions
  • Provide the best services for credit unions
  • Push advocacy with stronger combined efforts
  • Gain access to extensive education and engagement opportunities

“Our 25 associate business members bring a lot to the table for the credit union movement,” said Karin Sand, vice president of system provider relations at CUNA. “We’re excited to have them all on board as we continue to collaboratively advocate on behalf of credit unions across the country. With their dedication and support to credit unions, we'll continue to champion the movement together."
