Christopher Morris

I was active duty U.S. Army from 1996 through 1999. I was stationed in Bamberg, Germany, and was involved in NATO peacekeeping operations in Bosnia-Herzegovina for most of 1997. I won numerous awards, including two Army Achievement Medals for meritorious service. I was a food service specialist.

Today I'm an engagement consultant for CUNA.

Discipline and attention to detail have helped immensely. Also, the military had one of the most diverse workforces of any kind I’ve ever seen. Working with so many different personalities from all walks of life helps me all the time in my credit union work across the Midwest with people from all walks of life. It was hard work as well and gives me perspective. Even on my most stressful days in credit unions, it’s still better than being deployed from my friends and family for months.
