FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 21, 2019
Credit Union National Association (CUNA) released the November 2019 edition of the Economic Update, sponsored by the CUNA Finance Council. Chief Economist Mike Schenk explores the disconnect between continued economic success national and the actual results of that success for everyday people.
“Healthy and generally improving economic conditions are obvious just about everywhere you look,” Schenk noted. “But that’s not to say there aren’t significant challenges. In fact, challenges and dislocations aren’t difficult to find.”
The November video also features:
- The lowest unemployment rate in the U.S in nearly 50 years
- Why branch location matters- especially for non-wealthy consumers
- Exceptional growth of rural America credit union membership and what that means for local and national economies
