Credit Union National Association (CUNA) has announced CULedger as the newest Premier Level CUNA Associate Business Member, joining in CUNA’s advocacy efforts to support, protect, unify and advance the credit union movement.

CULedger is a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO), creating the premier platform of digital exchange for financial cooperatives globally. They provide advantages to credit unions and their membership by reducing risk associated with cybersecurity and fraud, improving member experience, streamlining internal processes and reducing administrative and operational costs.

“By supporting CUNA’s advocacy efforts, we hope to help credit unions remove barriers associated with new privacy rules and regulations and help create digital trust with their members,” said John Ainsworth, CULedger’s president and CEO. “Our voices are stronger together, and we hope to help credit unions achieve their goals and ultimately empower industry growth through this new and exciting relationship.”

“It is fantastic to see the leadership of CULedger, a CUSO borne through the collaborative efforts of credit unions, leagues, system providers and CUNA only a few years ago, recognize the importance of credit union advocacy in supporting the operating environment for the credit union movement,” said Greg Michlig, chief engagement officer at CUNA. “It’s that holistic understanding of the credit union ecosystem and the direct engagement in advocacy matters that set CUNA Associate Business Members apart. We are pleased to have John Ainsworth and his team at the table as members.”

The CUNA Associate Business Membership program allows organizations to become an official business advocate working on behalf of credit unions. Each Associate Business Member receives special offerings including representation for credit union issues, annual registrations to CUNA events at member price, complimentary digital subscriptions to Credit Union Magazine, member pricing on CUNA research, and preferred pricing on Credit Union Magazine advertising and exhibit hall space at CUNA signature events.

An associate business membership allows credit union service providers the opportunity to:

  • Build mutually beneficial relationships with CUNA and credit unions
  • Provide the best services for credit unions
  • Push advocacy with stronger combined efforts
  • Gain access to extensive education and engagement opportunities

“There is great power in advocating for credit unions with one collective voice,” said Karin Sand, vice president of system provider relations at CUNA. “That voice grows stronger with each new CUNA Associate Business Member, and together we can keep credit unions strong.”
