The National Credit Union Foundation announced the availability of a new, free learning resource called Exploring Our Values, a a self-guided course designed for credit union employees at any level of the organization. The course is designed to teach the fundamentals of credit unions’ cooperative structure, operating principles and history using key lessons from the Foundation's signature Credit Union Development Education (DE) Program.

The resource is designed to help stakeholders reflect on how their role and values intersect with the mission of their organization and broader credit union movement to reinforce the “why” behind the work done every day. .

Per the Foundation, "in a time when credit unions are stepping up as leaders in their communities to serve members when they need it most, this resource serves as a reminder for why that work is so important. The credit union difference is alive and well and Exploring Our Values can help credit unions to continue helping members face their daily challenges."

This course can be used for learning purposes such as new hire on-boarding, staff learning days, individual professional development and more. Its self-guided format is ideal for the current virtual learning environment to work through at one's own pace.
