House passes short-term funding bill as negotiations continue

December 9, 2020

The House passed a Continuing Resolution Wednesday to fund the federal government through Dec. 18, one week past the current scheduled expiration date of Dec. 11.

The Senate is expected to take up the bill shortly and negotiations continue on a long-term funding bill with potential pandemic relief.

CUNA is continuing its engagement with policymakers to secure extensions of several relief provisions from the CARES Act set to expire Dec. 31. These include Troubled Debt Restructuring (TDR) and Central Liquidity Facility (CLF) relief, as well as Paycheck Protection Program forgiveness.
