NCUA’s Harper talks with CUNA Small CU Committee

NCUA Chairman Todd Harper spoke with CUNA’s Small Credit Union Committee this week on various ways NCUA can help small credit unions continue to serve members in economically challenged times.

“Small credit unions continue to serve their members through the economic downturn, despite facing numerous challenges. We thank Chairman Harper for participating on our discussion, and to the credit unions that shared their stories with him,” said Tom Sakash, CUNA’s manager of small credit union initiatives.

Topics discussed include audit burdens, capital adequacy challenges due to stimulus dollars, and current expected credit loss (CECL) implementation guidance.
