CUNA’s conference kicks off with small credit union roundtable, Mick Ebeling.

February 27, 2022

The first in-person CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) since 2020 starts today in Washington, D.C. Participants can jump back into the action on the opening day of the event, which will begin with check-in from noon through 7 p.m. ET.

The first session of the conference is the Small Credit Union Roundtable, sponsored by Envisant and CUNA Mutual and scheduled for 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The roundtable, which is open to anyone and hosted by CUNA Manager of Small Credit Union Initiatives Tom Sakash, will focus on employee attraction and retention at smaller credit unions. The CUNA Small Credit Union Committee will report on its meeting with the National Credit Union Administration and share a new white paper on attracting talent.

Following attendee orientation from 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., the first general session of the week will feature Not Impossible Labs’ Founder and CEO Mick Ebeling giving the ED (Filene) Talk. Ebeling will discuss his mantra, “commit, then figure it out,” share how Not Impossible Labs creates technology for humanity, and leave attendees with the belief that anyone can make a difference in the world.

The exhibit hall grand opening will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
