Executives from Netflix and Google kick off event in Los Angeles.
March 10, 2022
“Reboot” is the theme for the 2022 CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council Conference in Los Angeles.
The conference is in person following a virtual event in 2021 due to the pandemic.
Highlights from Wednesday include Netflix executive Nikkia Reveillac, Google leader Sam Maule, and a giveback event to benefit local youth.
Organizations benefit when leaders transition from “me” to “we,” says Netflix executive Nikkia Reveillac.
“Members are your marshmallow,” says Google’s Sam Maule during an exercise in which attendees competed to build the tallest structure topped by a marshmallow. The key is to focus on the confection first and build around it. Similarly, “the more you focus on the member, the better off you’ll be,” Maule says.
Credit union leaders demonstrate their "people helping people" philosophy during a giveback event for Create Now, a Los Angeles nonprofit that empowers youth through arts programs.
Create Now CEO Brandon Johnson gives the thumbs up for attendees’ efforts during the giveback event.
The winners of the Treats & Trivia orientation session display no humility when celebrating their victory.
