2023 Herb Wegner Memorial Awards nominations open

Nominations for The National Credit Union Foundation 2023 Herb Wegner Memorial Awards are now open. The awards celebrate innovators and changemakers of the credit union movement for over 30 years and are presented annually at the Foundation’s fundraising gala. 

“Every year, people come away from the Foundation Dinner presenting the Herb Wegner Memorial Awards inspired and energized by the diversity, stories and impact of awardees,” said Gigi Hyland, executive director of the Foundation.

"This is the highest honor our movement bestows. Please consider nominating an organization or individual whose work reflects cooperative values and an unwavering commitment to improving financial well-being for all," she added. 

Nominations can be made in two categories:

• Outstanding Individual Achievement, honoring an individual dedicated to promoting the credit union philosophy, whose leadership has had a lasting impact on the credit union movement.

• Outstanding Organization or Program, honoring innovative institutions or initiatives that have measurably improved the local, national or international credit union system.

Nominations can be submitted via the Herb Wegner Memorial Award Nomination Packet with a minimum of five supportive reference. They are due by July 29 by 4 p.m. ET.
