CULAC Unveils New Site Ahead of Midterm Elections

September 26, 2022

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 26, 2022
Washington, D.C.

Credit Union Legislative Action Council (CULAC) launched a new, interactive election hub at cuna.org/elections ahead of the midterm elections on November 8, 2022. To date, CULAC and state leagues have supported 333 credit union candidates during the midterm primaries with a 96% success rate.

"CULAC exists to identify and support candidates for Congress who will stand with credit unions in our mission to enhance the financial well-being of all. When pro-credit union candidates of either party get elected to Congress, America's 130 million credit union members are the ultimate winner,” said Trey Hawkins, Deputy Chief Advocacy Officer for Political Action.

CULAC has invested over $3.5 million in support of 376 candidates on the November 8th ballot, for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. Of these 376 slots, 46 are open seats.

CULAC is one of the five largest trade association PACs and among the most bipartisan PACs in the country. CULAC works with state leagues to identify, vet, and back congressional candidates who support credit unions and the CUNA-League system’s efforts to promote financial well-being for all.
