Hearings on FTX collapse, discrimination in banking scheduled this week

Both chambers of Congress are in Washington, D.C., this week, and both will consider various legislation on the floor. The Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee will also conduct a nomination hearing for Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and Department of Housing and Urban Development nominees. 

The Senate Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee will conduct a hearing Thursday at 10 a.m. ET, "Why Congress Needs to Act: Lessons Learned from the FTX Collapse." 

The Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee will conduct a hearing Thursday at 10 a.m. ET,  "Fairness in Financial Services: Racism and Discrimination in Banking."
