Credit union-backed incumbent Warnock wins Ga. runoff election

December 6, 2022

Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., supported by CUNA, the Credit Union Legislative Action Council, and the League of Southeastern Credit Unions and Affiliates, won election to a full term in Tuesday’s run-off. Warnock defeated challenger Herschel Walker with 51.4% of the vote.

Warnock was elected in 2021 to fill the seat left open by the resignation of Sen. Johnny Isakson in 2019 and that was held by Sen. Kelly Loeffler on an interim basis.

CUNA, CULAC, and Leagues supported 382 winning candidates in the 2022 midterms, a 96% success rate that includes eight of nine wins in top priority races with paid advertising.
