Conference conversations: Trust and consumer behavior

Members want tools to manage their financial lives, says CO-OP Solutions’ Carrie Stapp.

February 27, 2023

Consumers’ definition of trust has become focused on capability and the ability of a financial institution to provide members the digital tools they need to manage their daily financial lives.

According to recent research, 78% of credit union members say they don’t trust their credit union to provide such digital tools, says Carrie Stapp, vice president of integrated product marketing and commercialization at CO-OP Solutions.

In this interview with Managing Editor Jennifer Plager, Stapp discusses CO-OP Solutions’ market research on consumer behavior, the way consumers move money, and the role fintechs play in members’ finances. She also previews what 2023 market research will focus on.
