Veteran-owned business lending, FHFA oversight hearings this week

The House is in Washington, D.C., this week, while the Senate is scheduled to be out for the next two weeks, but may return for debt ceiling votes. 

The House is scheduled to consider various legislation, and may also conduct debt ceiling negotiations and votes. 

CUNA will be engaged with several hearings on Capitol Hill, including:

• Tuesday, 10 a.m. ET: House Financial Services Committee hearing, "FHFA Oversight: Protecting Homeowners and Taxpayers."
• Wednesday, 10 a.m. ET: House Financial Services Committee markup of legislation. 
• Wednesday, 2 p.m. ET: House Small Business Committee hearing, "Saluting Service: Supporting Veteran Owned Small Business."
