CFPB Director Chopra to testify before Congress this week

The House and Senate are both in Washington, D.C., this week, with the House to consider various measures, and the Senate to resume consideration of executive nominations.

Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Director Rohit Chopra is scheduled to give his semi-annual testimony before the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee Tuesday and before the House Financial Services Committee Wednesday.

CUNA will also be engaged with the following hearings:

  • Tuesday, 10 a.m. ET: House Financial Services Committee hearing with Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on the international financial system.
  • Tuesday, 2 p.m. ET: House Financial Services Committee hearing, “The Future of Digital Assets: Providing Clarity for the Digital Asset Ecosystem.”
