Impact-as-a-service platform takes home Best of Show.

October 6, 2023

Attendees at the 2023 CUNA Operations & Member Experience Council and CUNA Technology Council Conference named Spiral as the Best in Show during its annual Speed Rounds competition.

Spiral

Spiral is an impact-as-a-service platform that enables credit unions to grow deposits and increase engagement through community and environmental impact. The platform allows users to round up their purchases, and then shows how the extra money benefits the community.

The platform also features a giving center where users can donate directly to a charity and credit unions can match donations or create fundraisers.

“It allows members to do good through their credit union accounts, and allows credit unions to give back to the community,” says CEO Shawn Melamed.

Speed Rounds feature quick-pitch demonstrations of innovative technology solutions. Check out a roundup of all 22 vendors who pitched their products during this year’s show.

This year’s People’s Choice Award winners are:

Allied Solutions’ SundaySky AI Copilot

The self-service video platform turns ideas into personalized videos, increasing credit unions’ appeal to younger generations.

Ian Golds, SundaySky’s sales director of national accounts, showed the Speed Rounds audience how to create an AI-generated video. He started with a basic prompt, communicated with Copilot to determine the goal and tone of the video, and asked the AI to create a short video.

The minute-long video was outfitted with background music, on-screen text, and the information Golds wanted to communicate.

LemonadeLXP

The digital growth platform helps financial institutions and fintechs create effective training and support tools to grow their digital banking business. It uses game-based learning to guide users through a series of puzzles and games to learn concepts and how to use technology.

“It bridges the gap between technology and the people who use it,” says CEO John Findlay.
