N.J. credit unions join forces for local beach cleanups

New Jersey credit unions joined together to sponsor and support cleaning several beaches along the New Jersey coast earlier this month. Clean Ocean Action organizes twice-yearly beach sweeps to help remove debris from beaches and waterways along more than 60 miles of New Jersey coastline.

Credit unions including First Atlantic Federal Credit Union, Raritan Bay Federal Credit Union, Merck Employees Federal Credit Union, United Teletech Financial Federal Credit Union, and Xcel Federal Credit Union, sponsored a beach for cleanup.

The Atlantic Federal Credit Union, Proponent Federal Credit Union, NJ Gateway Federal Credit Union, Liberty Savings Federal Credit Union, and M&C Menlo Park Federal Credit Union, UBS, TruStage, Allied Solutions and fiserv, supported efforts through volunteers and donations.

“Very proud to see several of our New Jersey credit unions come together to support a worthwhile community event to keep our beaches clean,” said First Atlantic Federal Credit Union President/CEO Ann Goldinak. “Several New Jersey credit unions, along with some credit union vendors and several small businesses within the community supported the event to clean five different beaches in Spring Lake, Sea Bright, Sea Girt, Keyport and Windward Beach in Brick.
