CrossState offers new online training library through eTrain

November 20, 2023

CrossState Credit Union Association (CrossState) is excited to announce a new partnership with eTrain, an expansive online training platform with hundreds of educational webinars. This new tool features professional development opportunities for front-line staff, volunteers, back-office managers, senior leadership and everyone in between for one annual fee for CrossState members.

eTrain offers an extensive library of on-demand virtual trainings through the Anytime Archives and keeps the offerings up to date with regular Upcoming Releases. The comprehensive webinars cover all areas of the credit union and are cost effective for the entire organization. eTrain also includes one-off webinar purchases in lieu of a subscription. To make sure the team receives uniform training, a credit union can purchase one webinar and share it with the whole staff for one low price. Most trainings also include a quiz and certificate as proof of completion for NCUA examiners.

“We take great pride in expanding the success of eTrain to CrossState and its credit unions. Our mutual dedication to affordable, high-quality training highlights the cooperative spirit within our industry," said Amanda Merz, VP impact and development at the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues. "Together, we are fortifying and empowering credit unions across regions, cultivating a culture of ongoing learning and development."

A big draw to eTrain is its cost effectiveness. Through the annual Power Learner Passport subscription, member credit unions can pay one annual fee for calendar-year access to the platform for the entire organization.

“We are very excited to bring eTrain to our credit unions as an additional professional development offering,” said CrossState SVP of Revenue Robin Brunner. “The trainings are top-tier, relevant, and, most importantly, affordable. As a bonus, we have the opportunity to collaborate with our peer organization, the California and Nevada Leagues.”

CrossState is working with the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues (Leagues), which originally developed eTrain for their members. After their credit unions found it beneficial, the Leagues made the training model available to their peers.
