Innovation keynoters set for CUNA, World Council summer conference

MADISON, Wis. (3/20/15)--CUNA and the World Council of Credit Unions announced this week the addition of two speakers to the lineup of their combined summer conference set for July 12-15 in Denver.

America's Credit Union Conference and the World Credit Union Conference is designed for credit union executives, board members and other leaders from around the globe.

The three keynote speakers have a focus on innovation and transformation:

  • Alan Mulally led Ford Motor Co. for eight years and successfully brought the "Big Three" automaker through the recession with his vision, strategy and plan that brought all Ford employees together as a global team. Before joining Ford, he was executive vice president of Boeing and president/CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Mulally, a credit union member, currently serves on Google's board of directors to assist with the development of a driverless car;
  • Navi Radjou is a fellow at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, a faculty member of the World Economic Forum and a former analyst at Forrester Research. His book, "Frugal Innovation: How to Do More with Less," discusses how businesses with limited resources can use innovation to provide their members with high-value products and services without added costs.  His TEDGlobal talk has been viewed more than 970,000 times; and
  • "Disrupt: Think the Unthinkable to Spark Transformation in Your Business" author Luke Williams combines creativity with a succinct five-stage process to successfully disrupt any market.  "Think what no one else is thinking, and do what no one else is doing," he writes. Williams is an adjunct professor of innovation at the New York University Stern School of Business.
