The Senate passed its FSGG appropriations act for fiscal year 2019 Thursday. CUNA wrote Senate leadership last week to support the bill, which contains full funding levels for several federal programs that credit unions utilize.
Major merchant data breaches continue to put millions of consumers at risk, CUNA and other financial trade organizations wrote in a joint letter Tuesday. The letter follows up a letter CUNA wrote last week on the same topic.
The Senate voted Tuesday to extend the National Flood Insurance Program until Nov. 30, providing program funding for an additional four months. CUNA supports the extension, which passed the House last week.
CUNA will be engaged with several Senate activities this week, including consideration of several bills on the Senate floor and the Senate Banking Committee vote on the nomination of Kathy Kraninger to serve as BCFP director.
