The CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council announced its 2023-2024 executive committee and officers, a a result of the most recent annual election by the council membership in the months preceding its annual conference.

USAID and World Council of Credit Unions brought together representatives of more than 200 public and private sector organizations for a pair of events in Peru and Ecuador that focused on socioeconomic integration of vulnerable local and migrant populations through sustainable initiatives.

The World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU), together with representatives from Australia, Canada, Poland, and the United States, made a sweep through three countries to visit with key International Standard Setting Bodies. 

Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions (WFCU) tapped its Ukrainian Credit Union Displacement Fund for $500,000 to launch a new credit union lending program aimed at assisting vulnerable populations and boosting sustainable development in Ukraine.

Whitefish Credit Union announced its new online Members Stories documentary series, highlighting businesses, non-profits, and members shaping and changing Montana for the better. 

Registration is now open for NCUA’s fourth summit focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. The in-person event will take place November 1–2, 2023, at the Hilton Washington D.C. Capitol Hill. The theme of this year’s Summit is DEI: It Starts With Me.

The National Credit Union Foundation accepted a Gold U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award for the 2021-22 school year on behalf of credit unions. Gold recipients provided more than 6,000 hours of volunteer service to Junior Achievement USA, an organization that connects youth with financial literacy resources.
