Washington, D.C. (May 8, 2018) – Today the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and Credit Union Legislative Action Committee (CULAC) are showing support for credit-union friendly congressional candidates in the 2018 primary elections. In North Carolina, credit union members are backing two incumbent Congressman, including other candidates in West Virginia and Indiana.

CUNA is involved in partisan communications in support of North Carolina candidates Rep. Walter Jones (R-N.C.) and Robert Pittenger (R-N.C.) who are attuned to credit union issues. CUNA and the Carolinas Credit Union League joined with 5 credit unions in a campaign targeting over 28,000 credit union households with mailers across the two districts in support of Jones and Pittenger.

In West Virginia, CULAC and the West Virginia Credit Union League are supporting Conrad Lucas in the Republican primary. And in Indiana’s 6th District, credit unions are supporting Greg Pence in the Republican primary, with the winner getting a shot at the seat left vacant by Rep. Luke Messer (R), who is running for Senate.
