House NDAA vote, fintech hearing this week

The House and Senate are back in Washington D.C. this week. The House will consider legislation, including the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2023 (H.R. 7900).

The House Small Business Subcommittee on oversight, investigations, and regulations will conduct a hearing titled “Fintech and Transparency in Small Business Lending.” The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET.

Other hearings CUNA is engaged in this week include:

  • Tuesday, 10 a.m. ET: Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee hearing: "Advancing Public Transportation under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law: Update from the Federal Transit Administration."
  • Protection and Financial Institutions hearing: “Better Together: Examining the Unified Proposed Rule to Modernize the Community Reinvestment Act.”
  • Wednesday, 2 p.m. ET : House Committee on Oversight and Reform Subcommittee on National Security hearing: “Protecting Military Servicemembers and Veterans from Financial Scams and Fraud.”
  • Thursday, 10 a.m. ET: Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee hearing: "Advancing National Security and Foreign Policy Through Export Controls: Oversight of the Bureau of Industry and Security."
