The Illinois Credit Union League (ICUL) announced the selection of 10 winning credit unions and three leagues in the giving component of the July 28 #ILoveMyCreditUnion campaign. The #ILoveMyCreditUnion campaign brings the collaborative credit union movement together on one day to share authentic stories and high-energy conversation about why people love their credit union using the common hashtag. 

The Giving component for #ILoveMyCreditUnion day gave credit unions an opportunity to share their community engagement strategy to be entered into a raffle to win $1,000 to a charity of their choice. Credit unions submitted the plans on www.ilovemycreditunion.social/giving. 

All credit union leagues registered to participate in the campaign were also entered into a separate raffle of three incremental amounts totaling $22,500 to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in their area. The raffle drawings took place on Tuesday, July 25.

“We are so fortunate to work in a collaborative movement with deep roots in communities across the country,” noted Tom Kane, ICUL & Envisant CEO. “Congratulations to the Maine, Indiana, and Cornerstone Leagues and the 10 credit unions that will be sharing contributions from Envisant with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and local charities. It’s a true celebration in the spirit of credit union awareness and #ILoveMyCreditUnion day!”

The Maine Credit Union League will contribute to the Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center and the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital with each receiving half of a $5,000 donation; the Indiana Credit Union League has selected Riley Hospital for Children to receive a $7,500 donation; the Cornerstone League will receive a $10,000 donation for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in their area; and the credit union winners of the Giving campaign for #ILoveMyCreditUnion are:
