Leagues and credit unions continue to engage elected officials on credit union priorities over the August recess.

Rep. Bill Foster, D-Ill., toured DuPage Credit Union in Naperville, Ill., last week in a meeting coordinated with the Illinois Credit Union League. The League previously conducted a meeting with Rep. Nikki Budzinski, D-Ill., at its Springfield office.

The Ohio Credit Union League hosted Rep. Mike Carey, R-Ohio, for a discussion on interchange, noting that the current system works and calling for opposition to the big box interchange bill.

Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., visited SRP Federal Credit Union’s Aiken branch Monday and presented the credit union with a certificate of Congressional recognition for its work supporting the local community.
